Bitton Families
Marsha and Clare have built this site (Marsha is a BAFHS 'overseas' member) where you can find loads of information including transcriptions and extractions from Bitton and surrounding parishes in Gloucestershire and Somerset.

Bristol Family History Research Guide
Alan Ward did the original design of the Bristol & Avon FHS website. The Bristol Family History Research Guide is his personal collection of websites that will be useful to anyone with family connections with the greater Bristol area.

Bristol, W.D. & H.O. Wills and NAPIER family history
Dave's site has three themes: Bristol including a lists all the Mayors and Sheriffs of Bristol from 1216AD;  W.D.& H.O.Wills, the famous Bristol tobacco company, there are some good photos of production methods in the 1920s; and there is a section on NAPIER family history.

Crabbe Family website
Phil and Mike have a new family history web site which has an ancestor surname index with interesting photographs of people and places. It is still under construction. 

Gloucestershire Families
Behind a simple list of names of the start page is a wealth of information on the following families: ATWELL, BAKER, BIRD, BRYANT, ELLIOT, FRY, HARRISON, HURCOMBE, JEFFERIES, JONES, LUSTY, MARSH, NORMAN, PEGLAR, PHILLIPS, PRATTEN, SMITH, THURSTON, WALKELY WEBB WELCH .... and that lists only the Gloucestershire families to be found on this site.
 

Faulkner Family History
Gordon & Barbara Faulkner's site is a record of over 35 years of family history study. Other family names included with connections to the Bristol & Avon area are: ROWE; BRAY; GREEN (Woodey, Bowman); LOVELL; HOLT; HEADFORD; WILLIAMS.

B&AFHS Member Kath Green sells her book on Irish family History from her website; she also has loads of potentially helpful information available if you are interested in Irish family history and you can contact her with questions.

Searl Family Website
The family history web site of the Searl Family.  Includes interesting information on DNA research.

Shrapnell Family
David Shrapnell's ste provides a profile of the roots of the family name in numerous variants but principally those of SHRAPNEL and SHRAPNELL. The current one name study has been carried out during a period of over 30 years by DAVID SHRAPNELL, formerly of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, U.K.  Virtually all bearers of the name can be linked to ancestry in Wiltshire. The family is now spread world wide - if you have the name SHRAPNEL(L) in your line of descent DAVID will be pleased to hear from you.

Syd's Genealogy Site
This site is based on Syd's family history and the famlies covered in detail are: WILLIAMS, BIDDLECOMBE, ANDERSEN & LARENSON but there are many other names included.

Victorian Photos
Roger Vaughan is a member of the Society. His site includes a useful list of Bristol photographers and their dates.  

West Penwith Resources
Rick and Mary Parson site will be very useful to anyone interested in this western extremity of Cornwall.  You will also find a base for the one name study of the RENOWDEN family.
