Arriving by Train
There are regular trains to Bath and Bristol from London, the north, Midlands and west of England, from Wales and from the south coast. You can check train times on the National Rail site.

Arriving by Road
The principal motorways from London to South Wales (M4) and from south-west England to the north (M5) cross just north of Bristol, so we enjoy easy road communication to all parts of the United Kingdom. If you want to travel by long-distance bus (called "coach" in the U.K.), then check out

Arriving by Air
Most intercontinental flights to the U.K. arrive at one of the London airports, but Bristol International Airport has regular flights to Scotland, Ireland and mainland Europe. Check on the Airport site for details.

Places to Stay and Places to Visit

Hotels, inns, guest houses and other places to stay throughout the area can be found at the sites for the Bristol tourist office and the Bath tourist office. You may need to visit the Record Offices at Gloucester or Taunton, in which case the Gloucestershire tourist office and that for Somerset may also be useful.
