SGBI South Gloucestershire Burial Index : Prepared by B&AFHS Sodbury Vale Group for the National Burial Index.  This free on-line version contains additional information.
Research Room Visit us at Bristol Record Office.  Six computers, including three with internet access plus 'Ancestry' subscription, and microfiche readers.  Resources are free to all with B&AFHS volunteers on hand for help and advice.  Open Wednesday a.m., Thursday p.m. and a.m. on the first two Saturday of the month.  Non-members welcome - just walk in.  Buy a range of books, source materials on fiche and CD and vouchers to access records on some sites.

Home Children Between 1869 and 1939 about 100,000 child immigrants, casualties of unemployment and poverty in Britain were uprooted from their homes and families with "hope of giving them new lives in Canada..." Some of them came from Bristol and Shirley Hodgson tells their story here. (Database of names updated: Autumn 2008)
